Who We Are

Alba Gu Bràth is a luxury Scottish candlemaker based in Fife, Scotland.

Our handmade candles are made with high-quality, sustainable and cruelty-free ingredients. Our scents are an ode to the many aspects that make Scotland special and are the perfect choice for treating yourself or someone you love.

Our Story

After realising a need for a luxury Scottish candle brand, we decided to form what is now known as Alba Gu Bràth. This led us to creating our initial "Landscapes Collection" which was created to bring the scents of Scotland indoors during the lockdown of 2020. Since then, our "Essences of Scotland" collection has been developed to celebrate what makes Scotland special as we journey the route back to normality. 

Scent is a personal experience - this is why we believe It’s not for us to tell our customers what to smell – in fact, we want our scents to be unique to each individual. 

We do still include the 'tasting notes' in our descriptions, but we actively encourage our customers to interpret our different scents in their own unique ways - whether that be associating them with personal memories of times past or simply mixing and matching our scents. 

Our Mission

To create a modern Scottish brand experience that is not what you would typically find in a tourist gift shop. We aim to provide a luxury experience for our eco-conscious customers at a mid-market price, using ethically sourced ingredients when making our handcrafted Scottish candles.
